WARNING! This is ALPHA software and does not come with a warranty of any kind. It is not ready for production / live use. There are many bugs and areas to-be-completed. Please install at your own risk.

Congratulations! You have successfully downloaded Trellis Desk and are now ready to install. Trellis Desk is a user-friendly, clean, but powerful help desk system with many features. Read on to begin your Trellis Desk experience. (We suggest reading this whole document).

If you already have a previous version of Trellis Desk installed, please follow our upgrade instructions.

Installing Trellis Desk is simple and can be done in under 5 minutes.

1. Download and unzip Trellis Desk.
2. Upload all the contents inside the 'Upload' folder, preserving the folder structure.
3. Run the Install Center by pointing your browser to the 'install' directory. (ex: http://www.yourdomain.com/install/)

From there the Install Center will inform you on any other necessary steps you must complete before installing. When all system checks have passed, the Install Center will guide you through the rest of the installation. :)

Trellis Desk is currently in release candidate testing stages, and as such, may contain bugs and may cause loss of data. We do not guarantee the stability or functionality of this software, nor are we responsible for any lost data or cost of service and repair. If you are not comfortable with running Trellis Desk as a release candidate, please do not install.

What makes Trellis Desk so special? Well, a lot of things. For one, it is free. You do not have to pay a couple hundred dollars for it. Two, Trellis Desk can be very powerful. It has many advanced features such as a rich text editor, custom department / profile fields, ACP permissions, email piping, editable templates, email piping, guest ticketing, etc. Three, it is quality work and clean. The coding behind Trellis Desk was not thrown all together in one night. We have worked hard to mark sure Trellis Desk can be powerful, but fast and efficient at the same time. Please also remember that this is just the beginning. Trellis Desk is still in release candidate testing stages and improvements are constantly being made. Have an idea? Submit a feature request.

You got it! Trellis Desk is completely free to use, as long as you comply with the License Agreement. It does not have surprise "bomb" dates, hidden fees, etc. Period. :)
